Unofficial word is that Kinnie is currently
playing music on reserves with warpack(?)--
however, starrsucka's resources are not 100% certain
on names, times, places, or things
One things forsure is that westcoasts lady elvis
has been nominated for a juno award
as "best new artist"
(new?ha!no matter...how cool is that?)
Her latest album Sun Again has received
supportive radioplay and muchmusic airtime
what's next in the chapters?
a thirty-fourth or fifth rotation around the sun?
some sunshine coast?

Her former record label Mercury Records was absorbed by
Island/Def Jam, and ultimately led "Limbs"
and the Handsome Boyz 2 (co-producer John Raham/drums,
Chris Carlson/bass & Rob Chursinoff-
are you still on percussion?)
down the indie path. (a blessing in disguise?)
Kinnie has shared the mic' with the likes of:
Speech, Lamb, Nelly Furtado, Gus Gus, Swollen Members,
Alanis Morrisette & toured with the LILITH FAIR.
The local legendary Scrappy Bitch tour was launched
with cohort bitches, Veda Hille and Oh Susanna!

Kinnie's ancestors are of French, Mohawk,
Irish, Metis and Russian descent.
Music appears to run in the family~
cousin, Lindsay Davis (formerly of the Colorifics),
musically goes by Lily Frost.
Frost's side project, Mimosa, which according to
starrsucka's sources, includes Handsome boy
Raham on the drums. An incestuous bunch hey?
“There is a lot of art coming out of native people
and mixed- blood Indians that is resonating
in popular culture, and I think it is going to continue."
Mapping her experiences through words and rime--
and an intoxicating textured soundscape~
the wordsmith herself would probably tell you-
as sure as she is, she's her own biggest riddle.
Who can predict what's in the stars for starr?
Our taurus bull has been driving one helluva long haul!
And like the seasons she constantly changes,
so have each years turn. Seeds from 'Learning to Cook' to Tidy,
and now listening to 'Tune-Up' while waiting
for her latest release, 'Sun Again'.

are amidst their eastern tour as of
September through until November 2002.
When not on stage with Kinnie & John,
you can find High-C and the russian on stage
with Tegan&Sara. More often than not, according to starr,
Vancouver hometown shows tend to be highly emotional.
Who knows how long fellow east-enders & Vansterdamners
will have to wait for the next emotional outbreak?
